Ileta is a native of the area and joined the staff at Larson Funeral Home as a licensed funeral director, in 2007.
Amanda Moen
Licensed Funeral Director
As a Licensed Funeral Director, Amanda joined the staff at Larson Funeral Home in 2008, after practicing the Twin Cities for some time. She grew up in Glenwood, Minnesota, and graduated from Minnewaska Area High School. Amanda attended and graduated from the University of Minnesota - School of Mortuary Science.
Arlen “Red” LaCombe
Funeral Assistant
Arlen has been with the Larson Funeral Home since 1996. Arlen is retired from livestock buying and farming. He is also retired from National Guard/Reserve having served 24 years, and is a veteran of the Korean conflict. Arlen served 14 years on the county board of commissioners, is a member of American Legion and VFW. Arlen is also active in First English Lutheran Church of Ortonville and the Ortonville Kiwanis club. He enjoys traveling, bridge, and golf.
Armand Aswege
Funeral Assistant
Armand has been a part of the staff at Larson Funeral Home since 2000. He very much enjoys his work and the rewards that working with families in their time of need bring to him.
Armand was born and raised on a grain and dairy farm. He graduated from West Central School of Agriculture in 1957. Following graduation, he joined the Army Reserve of which he served for six years. He continued to farm and dairy while he and his wife, Garnet raised their two children, Troy and Tracy. In 1999 they moved to Graceville and at the present time, is the Area Sales Representative for a Seed Company and Garnet works at Star Bank in Graceville.
Their son Troy and his wife, Brenda live in West Fargo and have three children, Katelyn, Nathan and Kristin. Tracy and her husband Ron live in Eden Prairie and have two boys, Frederick and Joseph. Armand and Garnet are members of Trinity Ev Lutheran Church of Johnson, where Armand has served many years on the Church Council. In their free time they enjoy bowling and golf and spending time with family and friends.
Don Williams
Funeral Assistant
Don is a life-long resident of the Clinton Community. Don has three married daughters, Geri (husband Bob, and sons Mike and Andy), of Shakopee, Minnesota, Joette (husband Bruce and daughters Brietta, Marissa, and Rhianna), of rural Clinton, and Sandy (husband Greg, and children Callie and Marshall, of rural Graceville. Don volunteers with Hospice as a patient and bereavement lay speaker. He is a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, and also serves at other area churches.
Don believes it is indeed an honor to help the bereaved. He carries this quote in his billfold, “When the Lord was deciding who were the givers and the receivers, he allowed me to be a giver.”
Joe Berning
Funeral Assistant
Joe joined the staff at Larson Funeral Home in 2007. Having lived in the Big Stone County area his entire life, Joe recently retired from law enforcement after 33 years. He served as Deputy for the county for nineteen years, and served as County Sheriff for fourteen years.
Joe and his wife Debbie have been married for thirty-five years, and they have two children, Jason and Jennifer. Joe and Debbie also have three grandchildren, Reese and Tyce Cronen and Drake Berning. In his personal time, Joe enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.
Mike Dorry
Funeral Assistant
Mike joined the staff at Larson Funeral Home in 2008. He was born in Ortonville and graduated from Ortonville High School. Mike served in the United States Navy and is a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He has been the Commander of the VFW Post 3964 for the past twelve years.
Mike retired from Otter Tail Power Company after thirty-six years of service. He has been on the Ortonville City Council for eleven years and is a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Mike and his wife Diane have been married for over forty + years. They have two daughters, Lisa and her husband Allan Ross, and Sara and her husband James Reinke. Mike and Diane have three granddaughters, Alisha, Emily and Taylor Ross.
In his personal time, Mike enjoys spending time with family (including his dog Koko), boating on Big Stone Lake, and hunting.
